Smith Cup Results

Division Five Revolution E started the week with a cracking match and 114 point advantage against Division Four Kempston Boys Brigade. It was nip and tuck all the way with many individual games going both ways despite playing against the higher division. All the matches were played in great spirit. However, it was the Kempston team who managed to steal the win by just nine points. Well played to Ram, Kyle and Sam. Revolution B, C and D played at home on Tuesday whilst the F team were away at Elstow. Best Wishes Olivier

Our best wishes go out to Revolution A team player Olivier Autin who is recovering from an appendicitis operation this week. Olivier will be out of action for several weeks and we wish him a speedy recovery.

Monday 30th Nov Session – Cancelled

In case you did not attend last week, please note that Monday 30th Nov is cancelled due to an important school meeting in the sports hall regarding the the restructuring of the Sharnbrook Academy Federation system from a three-tier to a two-tier system. Smith Cup & Plate Draws

The first round of the Smith Cup competition takes place week commencing 30th November. There is a change to the handicapping system this season and handicaps will be calculated on the evening according to the player individual handicaps which will be published on the League website the week before. New Table Tennis Kit

The new table tennis kit is taking a little longer than our supplier expected but will hopefully arrive by the end of this week. Match Reports – Week 1

A pretty good start to the season after the first week after a summer’s break and a few new faces to Revolution finding their feet. The A team managed a 9-1 win against Marston with a maximum from Olivier Autin and Dave Beddall. Keith McConnell dropped the only one against his nemesis Dave Wackrill who won in three straight games and then Keith coached Dave Beddall to gain revenge for his defeat last season eventually winning -7, 8, 7, -9, 3. The B team comprising Ian Baldock, Henry Simmons and Owen Hewett, competing for the first time in Division 1, had a very good 3-7 result against last season’s third placed Biggleswade.
