In his first competition outside England, fourteen year old Revolution TTC player Ben Dunkley had a very successful three days at the Prague Grand Prix. On the first day, playing for the Table Tennis England cadet A team, along with Harry Randall from Berkshire, Ben won all of his seven matches and the team moved into the quarter-finals against the No. 3 seeds. On Day 2, unfortunately, having won his first match 11-9 in the fifth he suffered his first loss of the tournament 14-12 in the fifth and with Harry losing both his matches this meant that they had to play for positions 5-8 and eventually finished in 6th position with Ben unbeaten. Ben qualified for the last 32 of the individual competition and on the second day won his first match 3-1 to take him into the last 16 against the No. 1 seed Natanel ABRAMOV, World No. 58 ranked from Israel. Unfortunately, this proved a mountain too high to climb and Ben lost only his second match of the tournament. A great performance in his first international experience.
