Revolution Table Tennis Club are holding a tournament this Monday 18th December at Lincroft Academy, Station Road, Oakley MK43 7RE from 7.30pm. Anyone is welcome to enter, the cost is £6, and the competition is limited to the first 24 players. Those who have already entered do not have to re-enter. With groups of four you will have three matches and then the top two will progress into the Main knockout and the bottom two into a Consolation knockout, so four individual matches best of five games. Ben Dunkley was representing England B at the Senior Schools International weekend held in Ireland and in combination with his team mate, Starry Sheung, they stunned England A by taking Gold in the final. On the way to the final they beat Scotland A 3-2, Jersey A 5-0, Isle of Man 5-0 and Ireland A 5-0 with Ben remaining unbeaten.

Revolution G from Division 4 were drawn against Kempston Boys Brigade A from Division 1 in the Plate final held on Monday 4th April at Elstow TTC. The Revolution G team of Luke Stephens, Ray Peters and Alasdair Simmons had a 188 point start which meant that Kempston Boys Brigade A had to keep the Revolution side to about 4.5 per game to win. Semi-finalist, Beate Nicol, unfortunately, had booked a skiing holiday so had to sit on the end of phone in Austria listening for updates as to her team’s progress. However, reserve Ray Peters stepped in to the team and did himself proud. Luke Stephens picked up the most points, followed by Ray and Alasdair. Both sides played read more …
